Installed the Pioneer 106D into XP Pro as an upgrade from a Toshiba DVD rewriter. XP sees the drive as the correct one, but for example, Nero only picks up a virtual drive. Tried reinstalling Nero and other software including Pinnacle (but not together). Flashed the most recent V 1.07 firmware and ran the firmware check prog OK.
Pinnacle says that it cannot see a drive present and DVDXcopy says it cannot get the drive info. CloneDVD just bales out.
    Can anyone help me please.

I have the Pioneer A06, using XP Pro + SP1

CloneDVD, AnyDVD, DVDXCopy, DVDXpress, Platinum. Nero 6, Pinnacle InstantCD/DVD,,

Out of that Lot Only Platinum, refuses to work/Reconize my A06..

I Know that does not help you, but it shows that it may not be just the programs fault..

    good luck

Well I also have no problems.

Try uninstalling the drive from the control panel and then let winddows install it again.
Also change the position of the dvd writer making it Secondnary Master.

    I hope these help.
