Pioneer DVD R/RW model DVR-108 came with Sony Vaio computer. Drives' firmware successfully updated to ver. 1.10 from Sony website 8 months ago, while computer still under warranty. Now, computer is more than a year old and I am trying to update firmware from Pioneer website to ver. 1.20B. However, all I get is error message: Detect the Intel's IDE Driver Available target is not found. Any suggestions?
Clarification re: Pioneer DVR-108 Firmware update problem. Currently can't update firmware from Pioneer website, getting error message: Detect the Intel's IDE Driver --- Available target is not found. Once before was able to update from Sony site, when Vaio was under warranty, but they haven't listed any further updates as the Pioneer site has done. Does the reference to Intel IDE driver have anything to do with application acccelerator? I noticed a warning about that on another brand of burner.
