playback issue on Standard DVD players

    Hey guys,
    heres the problem.. Sometimes when I try to play a DVD (standard store bought DVD) both of my DVD players make the video brightness fade in and out... I cant figure out whats wrong with them. Please help and thanks in advance.

    2 are panasonic and the other is a sylvania

    Seems like Macrovision protection but should not be an issue on standard store bought DVD's. Are they copies of originals burnt on a DVD recorder?
