Hi, I am new to downloading movies and burning them. Most have worked so far. I downloaded .avi file and converted it to DVD. Beautiful picture but picture is jumpy. Using Winavi and Nero. Have tried burning at a slower speed but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be appreaciated. Thanks Mommdi

There must be something wrong with the encoding. Watch you ready dvd from your harddrive, if it's jittery there, then something is messed up with the encoding, not the burning. You could try to decompress the whole movie to uncompressed format, to ensure that there are no complications when encoding to dvd. You can do it easily with virtualdub.

I tried what you said and I thought I had it beat but about a quarter of the way into the movie (Shrek2) it messed up. Not jittery but audio ahead of the video. I have spent so much time on this and ruined so many disks I should just go rent or buy the movie!! Burned about 15 movies (avi) so far and this is the only one that is giving me a problem. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Mommadi
