Playback not clean on PC

    Hi everyone,

    when i'm playing downloaded dvds/xvids or even some dvds from shops on my PC the playback quality isnt that clean and crisp as on my dvd player (or it may be me just asking too much)

    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics card drivers but that hasnt worked

    I'll try and download new drivers for my graphics card but has anyone else have any suggestions

    Could be bad drive/laser or bad disks...

    Are you playing d/l'ed xvids etc from burnt dvd's in your drive?

    Also check your screen resolution is set to the right one for your montior...

    Just suggestions :)

    Na the disks are tdk 8x the best ones, my dvd drive is the latest plextor again one of the best ones

    These vids i'm playing are downloaded ones on the pc! not actually burnt onto disk all the time.

    my screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 (view sonic 19' tft)

    please help

    Ah OK I thought you meant playback from disks. You could try playing it with another program like VLC Media Player.

    Otherwise I am stumped, sorry.

    Did you, by any chance, install one of the K-Lite codec packs?

    No i didnt install the k lite codec but i did install the audio video codec in one form free codecs.com
    But i have noticed now that the display is more clearer but the 'RED' colour is the one that looks fuzzy.
    Is it my graphics card e7300gs nvidia

    Please help

    You could try unistalling the codec.
