Pretty new to this sort of thing so please be patient! I succesfully converted a couple of AVI files to DVD via Nero. The files play fine on my PC but when I burn them to DVD playback sticks halfway through. Is this down to the quality of discs or is it my DVD player? Cheers
Tips for a good burn. - Use good quality media like Verbatim, any labeled Made in Japan especially Sony and Fuji, or Taiyo Yuden (available online). - Burn at half or less the rated speed of the media. - Don't multitask while burning. - Update your burner firmware.
skipping, pixelations, freezing are all due to poor media or not compatible media being used! Listen to Laddyboy's first suggestion ..... buy MIJs .... Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are the best disks around for compatibility and quality! Also, if you really want to make your +R media more compatible to players then booktype your drive: http://k-probe.com/bitsetting-booktype-faq.php you can use DVDDEcrypter to set booktyping or use ImgBurn the same way!!! both programs are made by the same person and ImgBurn is updated where DVDD is not!
