EDIT: A simple reboot fixed it I suddenly have playback problems with mp3s and DVDs,avi,wmp,and mpeg videos even in VLC Media Player. All I can hear is static. Video wise the MPEG seems to play fine but the AVI,and WMV play like there on a 2X fast forward and the audio is static. The same for a DVD, static audio and 2x fast forward. I thought maybe it was just my sound card came loose(I moved the PC twice last week as my g/f and i watched my dad and step moms house for a week). But that doest explain the video playback issues. Any help is appreciated.
static can be caused by cell phone, and other similar device that send or receive radio signals, make sure you have the right codes www.free-codecs.com i know your problem is solved, just posting advice
