i have been using shrink 3.1.7.5 with some sucsex but i have encounted some problems when i playback my back up dvds they seem to freeze at times so please advice me as this is so frustrating,i have tried a number of things with little luck please help.

The answer is sure to help many senior members & administrators alike, namely Nephilim, Herbsman & especially Scubapete!! I think, and it's only a total stab in the dark, that it may be possible due to the use of substandard media. What media are you using ?
I read on one of the tutorial pages that if you do a "thorough" analysis or "deep" analysis that it improves the quality of encoding, and thus, playback. You may want to try this. It takes a little longer, but it is worth it, especially if the movie is large enough that it requires a lot of compression.
