I recently bought a cd/mp3 player and it won't play the mp3's. It'll 'read' 20-30 seconds and list it as only one track with only a few seconds playback with no sound, no matter how many mp3's I place on the cd. I've tried using Nero, WMP, Creative MediaSource, a few other programs with the same results. The songs were 'ripped' using Nero. The player I'm using is a RCA RP243b, and I'm trying to burn the cd's using a Liteon DVDr/rw-CDr/rw. If there is anyone familiar with the player, please help me figure out what I need to do. Thanks
Tried the trick today, it was something I hadn't thought of. Still didn't work, but it was worth a shot. The only settings for the recorder gave me a choice between 1x,2x,4x, and 48x and I tried them all using cd-r's and cd-rw's, even went and bought a couple diffrent brands of recordable cd's to see if it was just a compatability issue. Might have to juc=st go and get a diffrent type of mp3 player.
did you read the manual for the CD player? It should have something in there about the architchure of the mp3 CD required to play. For example some players can read mp3 CDs with all the files in one folder, and some require each album to be in separate folders. Try reading the manual for specifications...
The closest thing mentioned in the manual, all 12 booklet pages was the warning that the player may not be compatable with all burners or r/rw disks. Nothing about the structure itself and customer service/ tech support was less then helpful as I was informed that they support the players they manufacture, but not the formats that they play.
Sorry it took so long to reply, holidays are crazy and with kids-it's worse. As far as I know of I'm not recording any playlist. When I tried to burn in WMP, I just copied and pasted the MP3. And in Nero, I chose the tracks through the add tracks screen. It's just driving me a little buggy. Right now I'm trying to find my old cd rw drive to see if it's the burner that's not compatable.
