Playing back a split DVD?

    Hello,

    probably a newbie question and I did try the search first. If I want to rip a DVD and not compress it but rather split it onto two disks to preserve picture quality, how do I play it back? I mean, if the main movie is so long it spans two DVD-R, how do I play it back again?

    When you split it you need to make sure you're creating new IFO and BUP files that refer to the new VOBs. DVD Shrink will do this for you if you Reauthor. The DVDs will play normally on a standalone.
