How? Do you need a mod-chip, or can you just burn the games onto a normal sized dvd and play them straight out of the burner?
Modchip. I recommend Qoob pro if you can get it installed professsionally as its very hard or Viper gc if you wanna do it yourself. If your a good soldering guy and know what your doing go for the Qoob pro.
No, i have no soldering skills and really only wanted to know if you could just use the case without a modchip. Didnt want to spend all that much.
Nope,it is just a modification of the top letting you use full size dvd discs instead of just using mini-dvd discs is all.It doesn't do anything to let you boot backups unless a modchip or softmod method is involved. You have a choice of either softmodding or modding your system if you want to boot backups.
Softmoding is with action replay and PSO and broadband adapter. Go here for more information on how to soft mod. http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm Click on MODCHIP section in the list then click on softmod in the next list to see how to mod your cube without a MODCHIP. It tells you the diffrence between mod chips and softmoding and also tells you diffrent ways to softmod. So go there and read up. I softmodded my gamecube with the PSO (Phantasy Star Online) and action replay method and it works great.
Yea i know about the PSO method and it seems very complicated and annoying for when i just want to play a game. I guess i'll wait a while till i can get a modchip put in it.
