I've ripped a CD using 'Easy CD-DA Extractor' to WAV format and then created an audio CDR, using the default settings.

Everything completed successfully and the CD plays on my PC. However, when I try it on my Sony stereo system (CMT-DC500MD) it fails to read the CD. I've tried it on a friend's player and it works.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

what kind of Sony player is it? And you say it plays fine in other stand alone audio CD players? It might be the Sony unit, because I know that for a while the DVD Players Sony made a few years ago didn't play CDRs, only original pressed CDs.

The Sony player is a CMT-DC500MD.

It does play CDRs as I hve two that were created for by a friend a while back.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!
