    Hey guys,

I want to learn how I can play a movie from my computer onto my TV. I know I need to have an s-video connection on both my computer and TV and I can get a PCI card for my computer, but what if I don't have S-Video on my TV since it's a later model? I have a sattelite box connected to my video which has S-Video so would I be able to use that? Also, can someone point me to the right direction in what would be the correct software to purchase for this?

    Thanks!

You wouldn't need any special software, just a video card that has TV out (usually is S-Video as you stated). I am not sure about using your satellite receiver for this but you can purchase a converter box. The boxes aren't very expensive and will take any signal from the input end and output it to whatever you need (like if your old TV only accepts a Coax connection).
