I can easily record a record player on Windows XP and Mac os X with software but is there a way to simply listen to that output on the computer speakers without recording ir i.e. without a hifi system , the table has USB output and RCA cables red/white (which I suppose I can replace with a cable that goes from RCA plug one end to ormal computer 3.5 mm jack the other. I found Whitecap software which visualises line in input but cannot seem to get that to work as you are supposed to use its standalone which does not seem to exist in the download and the help is unclear. If I piped the music to line in with a device called mp3 connector this has a plug for connecting the PC speakers so would that do the trick ?
