I am having problems playing ntsc dvds on my sony vaio. The player is a DVD rw dw-d56a. It is fine with other dvds and cds but whenever there is one that is ntsc it doesn't seem to want to read it at all.
Backup or original disc....if a backup, the copy could have been made of cheap media and can't be read properly. If an original, you might have a bad disc...return for exchange.
I got the movie from blockbuster online. I have had problems with the ones that look cheaper and have ntsc on them. It plays fine on my xbox360 but if I play it on my laptop it trys to read it but keeps failing.
Is there any software I can add to help the dvd player on my pc help read the dvds that use ntsc format.
