Hello all, I hope I am posting this in the appropriate forum. My question is regarding some old games I have for Windows 95. I used to play these on an old computer I had and would like to play them again. I no longer have a computer with the Windows 95 operating system. Is there any way to get these game discs to work on my current computer which operates with Windows XP? Is there something I can download to get them to work or do I have to go to Goodwill and find a bulky used computer which has Windows 95 on it? Thanks in advance for any help! Heidi
Dosbox should work or you could find a copy of Windows 95/98 and install it to an external Drive. shouldn't be to hard to find a Copy on the net given you know where to look. i cant just link it to you (See Note:) Note: while Microsoft no longer updates, maintains or sells the 9x OS, they still have an active copyright on the above products.
Maybe compatibility mode? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292533 I run a couple of very old games running Win7 Jeff
You could also try MS Virtual Machine. Find a copy of Win 95 or Win 97, install the OS to Virtual Machine, then install the game to your VM. http://system-log.com/2010/02/11/windows-9598-gaming/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...tion_id=annotation_628458&src_vid=UsDo4EobLZI
