I have created images of my software and games and wanted to know if I mounted them using Daemon tools, would I have to run the setup from them to install on pc? or can I just start using them from the image in the mounted drive? thanks
All Daemon Tools does is emulate the CD being in the CD drive so that you can use your programs without the disc in; the program will need to be installed like usual.
that I have notice! my question is can I play an image without having to run setup from it? like just mount it starts playing automatically? Is there a software or virtual software that does that? or some type of hack/commands? thanks
Ah I misunderstood. Theoretically, the 'autorun' file on the "disc" should start functioning when the "disc" is put in the "drive", so that would make your answer: No, you don't have to open the image file and run the setup. Autorun should start the program for you.
true, I have notice that! but instead of just running from the image, I still have to setup the profram as b4 to my c/programs folder or wherever I designate it? the same as with a game image. when the autorun starts there is nothing in the menu that says Play game or whatever! it states install software. after I install the software, I can play from game img. but for software like windows, it defeats the purpose except to just have an imaged copy so you dont have to use the cd? I want to use img without having to extract anything at all to a drive? is there any way around that? thanks
