I've burned a DVD using TMPGEnc. Problem is it plays on my PC using Win DVD but not in my Philips DVD player. I get the message no disc. Any ideas why and what I can do to rectify the error?
    Thanks

Is it only with this movie that you have problems with or is this the first copied dvd you've used in it.

As some players are unable to read Copied DVD's my samsung 709 doesn't But my Pioneer and Mustkek Read Fine.

If you player does play copied dvd media try a different brand riteks to name one!!

Here's another problem, I have shrunk file size (over 6 GB) using DVD Shrink and tried burning using Nero 6 but burn button is greyed out. Any ideas?

Its probably too big for the media !!! Have a quick check and see if its over 4.7gb

When I compress mines I setit to 4.5gb as sometimes it just oges over this margin and you have to recompress it

Just to clarify, when DVD manufacture's say the discs are 4.7 GB, they really mean 4.7 billion bytes. (The number is closer to 4.65 billion)

    This translates to:
    4.36 GB
    4464 MB

As akoli mentioned, make sure you set your final output to be under these amounts.

And check the compatability of your Phillips player here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
