playstation 2 versions

    An earlier post I had someone told me you got to have a certain version 5 etc to get the right dvds to burn for backup of the original. How can you tell what you have
    Here is the numbers I have on the back of the playstation.
    Model # SCPH-35001
    Serial # U 6025596
    Playstation 2 NTSC U/C
    I hope this can help me out for someone to tell me what version I have Thanks
