Hye There... This is my PC's spec Amd barton 2800+ 2.09ghz MSI KT4AV mobo Crossair 512gb DDR400 450watt I-cute power supply Albatron geforce 6600gt 128mb Can anyone tell me how to setting the CMOS and the suggestion of the setting.
First, you need to access the BIOS when you first boot up. You press the "delete" key when it's booting. This allows you to acces the BIOS setup. The multiplier on your CPU is probably "superlocked", which means you can't change the multiplier. Therefore, the only way to overclock your system is to raise the frontside bus, "FSB". You want to scroll through the options until you find "Frequency/Voltage control" and increase "CPU FSB Clock" 1 or 2 Mhz at a time until you can't boot windows or you get memory errors. Then you can try SLOWLY raising the voltage to the CPU and memory, keeping an eye on the temps to make sure you don't fry your chips. A LITTLE bump in voltage usually stabilizes things. Most importantly, don't try to raise your FSB more than a couple Mhz at a time. Good luck and happy overclocking. I've got my Athlon 2500+ mobile up over 3200+ speeds right now.
Oh i forgot.I am using the coolermaster aero 7 lite for the processor. Do you think it is enough for the system to overclock
