PLEASE HELP A NEW GUY

    i was trying to softmod an xbox then i deleted the saved stuff on hdd. ive tried reinstalling the softmod but all it does is giving me a red ring and my tv just goes to black screen. what can i do? can someone help me out. im really new to this. i really appreciate it. this system is my son's 1 and only system. he been wanted to play it but cant. i just want it to set everything back to default if thats possible.
