Perhaps I misunderstand. Do you mean a Region 5 file? Region coding is applied to commercial DVD's - not to DivX/XviD files. DVD Flick will convert AVI files to DVD format (optionally burn the disk too). http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm
i am sure that your file is a avi or xvid, make sure that you unrar or unzip the files, use convertxtodvd to convert your files to dvd, also make sure that the audio is good enough to make your dvd sound and look good, do you have g-spot? if so run your file through it.
if the file has the extension *.R05, then is part of an RAR archive. You need to unpack that, but you will need all the parts, 00,01,02,03,04. If is just R5, then is probably something else: http://www.liutilities.com/products/winbackup/filextlibrary/files/R5/
