    hi ,

i have had imgburn for a while and i really like this program , it seems to do the job perfect . i just downloaded dvdfabhd decrypter and this may sound weird but this is what happens . before i downloaded dvdfab , imgburn worked fine . after i got dvdfab , my imgburn is getting error's , like read error's . so i uninstalled dvdfab and imgburn is now working fine again . is this just my mind or could there be a conflict . also i have one more question , when i installed dvd fab as soon as it finished installing , it sayed that i had to restart my computer in order for dvdfab to install , why is this , i was wondering why i have to re-start my computer

hmmm, very interesting, not sure why but doesnt sound good, this is the first time i've seen this...

rebooting/restarting pc is usually a sign its loading a windows driver (serious one) got to be the ripping drivers / DLLs etc... all ok.

    edit!

i dont use this fab app, but! i would say from what i know when installed its looking at your drives and has its ripper turned on/decrytion software, does anything load to system tray by the pc clock, (so you can turn it off when not ripping) and on when you need to rip a dvd?

so basically its locked on to your drive monitoring/waiting for a dvd to eat up...

i would imagine imgburn needs to lock drive for exclusive access when burning (whats the EXACT! error message you get in imgburn???) and it cant lock down as FAB has control of drives...

    just a thought....

Hi, you must have the newest dvdfab 4.0.1.0 and this is the first time they ever required rebooting the pc prior to use. Maybe you are correct in that dvdfab has a conflict with imgburn. Please goto dvdfab and send them a question with all the above mentioned from your post to them. They will answer you usually in 24 hrs and maybe they need a patch. Their 4.0.0.8 Beta had no probs for me and imgburn. Thanks for the heads up.

thanks for everyone's help , i sent dvdfab a e-mail and also i posted on imgburn web-site about this and will let everyone know what i find out . it is possible that imgburn could very we'll be staying on as to eat up a dvd , but it always ask me as soon as i put the dvd in as to what i want to open it with , the error i got a a read error at 97 percent while trying to make a iso image , i uninstalled dvd fab and tried again and imgburn made the iso no problem . thanks
