Hello everyone hopefully someone can help me out. I have 2 r4 cartridges and neither will play in my wifes ds lite. Both play perfect in mine. Her copy of animal crossing plays fine for her in her ds. Am I doing something wrong here? Her r4 is brand new so I just put the firmware 1.14 on hers. I tried putting the adhesive tape on the front of the cartridge but that doesn't seem to help because I still get the "There is no DS Card inserted" Please if anyone out there knows a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

have you tired blowing in the slot where you would put the r4ds could be something as simple as dust or dirt in the slot .
just seems strange that the r4ds play fine in yours but not your wifes.
have you also got any original games you could put in and try to see if they work .

Ive tried blowing in it and still the same. She has an original Animal Crossing and it works fine. My next step tonight is trying to clean the contacts with a little rubbing alcohol. Hopefully that works. If not i looks we will be sharing a DS for the time being. Thanks woof811 for trying to help.

Hello I don't really know if anyone cares but I'm going to post anyway. I figured out what was wrong with the wifes DS ans the R4 card. It turns out our 16 month old daughter got a hold of it and somehow busted the R trigger. I bought her a new one and everything works fine. Thanks to those who tried to help.
