    please please help me.
i am not sure where to post this, so hopefully someone will see it here.
i am not that hot on computers and things, and i take videos on my mobile phone, and send them to my laptop via blue tooth. i have been doing this sucsessfully for ages, and i have always been able to open them with nero showtime and when they save they say "File mpeg4" and they save with the nero logo.................anyway, for no apparant reason (or not one that i can work out) they now jsut save as "file" and not mpeg 4, and with no nero logo. and the box that says "tick to always open with this program" is not lit up. so when i email this to my family they can not open it, as it not in mpeg 4 format!
please help me, i hope i have explained it ok.... i need to have these saved as mpeg 4 with the nero logo....and not as file with nothing.
    thank you soooo much

ahh the problem is the file extension. your files are just being saved as that, files. the are not being saved with an extension that tells the operating system what program to open it with or what filtype it is in the first place. The best thing for you to do, is to have a look at previous output files and find out the file extension for them (for nero i am pretty sure it is .mp4) and add that manually to your files, so for example, in windows explorer you might see a file called:
    TEST
and in the file properties it will just say that is a file, so what you need to do is to rename that file to:
    TEST.mp4
and press enter, now like i said, i am not sure what the file type is that you needa set it to
but i think that this will work once you find that out.

    i hope i have helped
