    Download, install and run ImgBurn.

    Click 'Write files/folders to disc'.
Click 'Tools' > 'Drive' > 'Capabilities'.
Look in the checkboxes to see what's what.

The capabilities will also list the current firmware version of the drive.
You may also click 'Tools' > 'Drive' > 'Check for firmware updates' to see if a newer firmware is available.

If you are using -R (not +R) disks, do a test burn.

Start ImgBurn, click 'Help' '>Imgburn logs' and delete any existing log.
    Click 'Write files/folders to disc'.
Click the box for 'Test mode'.
Insert a disk (DVD-R or CD-R) and load/drag a text or image file into the window.
Click the 'Device' tab and select a moderate speed (4x).
Click the big arrow and let it complete the test.
    Uncheck the 'Test mode' box.
    Exit Imgburn then restart it.
Go to the log, copy and paste it back here.

attar, is it possible all those programs wymore tried but possibly not uninstalled are conflicting with each other including imgburn?

It is possible, however the problem must have been apparent when the first burn failed (before the subsequent programs were installed).
My thinking is that if ImgBurn can run a test and produce a log it will at least let us know that ImgBurn is communicating with the burner (or not).
If it is communicating then that's all the software can do - it's up to the firmware, laser and media now.

The log doesn't show any errors.

Can you repeat with 'test mode' checked using a CD-R (set for half the rated speed).

If the log doesn't show any errors, uncheck test mode and let it burn the CD.
If it's OK, sacrifice a DVD (set for 4x).

Note that your DVD blank is a CMC disk.
The only truly, consistently reliable, blank DVD's are Verbatim disks that show the 'AZO' logo on the package (AZO refers to the surface dye).
