PLEASE HELP MAY DAY

    I HAVE ERROR 13 ON MY XBOX I WAS TRYING TO RESTORE FROM MS DASH AND IT HUNG UP IN THE PROCESS SO I TURNED OFF MY XBOX NOW IT REBOOTS BUT COMES UP TO A SCREEN WITH JAPANEESE LANGUAGE AND A BUNCH OF OTHERS AND AN ERROR CODE 13 TELLING ME TO CALL XBOX FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHAT DID I DO WRONG CAN U PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS AND CAN I REMOVE THE SOFTMOD WITH MECHASSAULT OR WOULD I SCREW IT UP EVEN MORE I SAW ANOTHER PERSON WITH THE SAME PORBLEM AND I SAW TO THINGS THAT COULD BE WRONG IT COULD BE THE KERNAL OR IM MISSING THE C FILES I HOPE IM NOT @#*%&#(# I ORDERED AN EXECUTER 2.6 SHOULD I JUST WAIT UNTILL I GET IT AND PUT IT IN AND HAVE SOMEONE FIX IT FOR ME BEFORE I SCREW IT UP EVEN MORE U CAN EMAIL ME IF U LIKE OR MESSAGE ME AT YAHOO IM ON NOW MY ID IS DARK_PRINCE175 OR U CAN LEAVE ME AN EMAIL AT [bold]email removed[/bold] I THANK I MIGHT BE SERIOUSLY FUBARED LOL I CAN STILL PLAY GAMES BUT NO DVDS

    All is not lost! Firstly though, NO NEED TO WRITE IN CAPITALS!!! Also a bit of punctuation might help, my head is hurting from reading your message! Try and title your problems with the problem, not just HELP ME!!!

    Ok, you have a few options. You can justr insert an Xbox Live enabled game, run it and then try to run Xbox live. Don't have you ethernet cabled connected though! This will re-install\update your dash! Other ways include getting hold of a Slayers disc or AID 3.0 (But I think you need to be able to run as a chipped xbox) or just a straight FTP, which you can then just transfer over the new files to C:\

    @darthmod - indeed, Please turn the volume down ie stop abusing that poor CAPS LOCK button. email address removed. Also were you out of breath writing that one long sentence as we're out of breath reading it....punctuate please...

    thank you chunk head i will thry that and see if it works. I hope it works wafter i get my exectuer 2.6 installed i have slayers disk do i need to put the aid on cd as well and burn an iso image of it or is it fine just buring the slayer cd and running it does it have aid included in slayer

    sorry creaky is this better didnt mean to make your head hurt lol. i aplogize im a newbie. I love this sight lots of good modders on here they give good advice and i want to thank chunk head once again i will try his suggestion much appreicated.

    This is such a common problem/issue, the XBOX dashboard is unable to boot.
    I'm not so sure that running the xbox live trick will work as you already installed the softmod. Most softmod's rely on replacing fonts that the xbox dash uses and also the xbox live update program. If the XBL update can't access the font then it just crashes. It's worth a try though (nothing to lose), have you tried booting a backup/original game?

    If all else fails and you want to get you machine up and running before you get your modchip then the best bet is to get hold of XBHDM 1.9 and connect your xbox HDD to your pc. You then have to restore original xbox dash files to the C drive but this is realy for the slightly more advanced user.
