PLEASE HELP ME..I"M COMPUTER CHALLENGED

    i have no idea how to add subtitles to a movie that i play on vlc...i tried almost everything either the wrong way, or it just doesn't work... can someone be nice and walk me through how to add subtitles to this movie? (which is an .avi thingy)

    Make sure the subtitle file is the same exact name as the movie file. Then open VLC and play the movie, select subtitle to be on.

    File -> Open File and select that "Use a subtitles file".
