I have a DVD+/RW Drive and it used to work perfectly now it ony reads DVD's, it doesn't read any kind of cd including music cd's or blanks cd's and not only that but i can't burn music either can someone help please
a.) A friendly word of advice, don't start two threads about the same topic. b.) Please give more information, ie; make/model of the drive, how long have you owned it, etc. From the info you've provided, it sounds like you need a new drive.
People keep telling me to put more information and tell what the is model well I have a EMachines computer it's model is D series and the number is D3024. Just incase my drive can't be fixed I was looking at a couple internal DVD+/RW Drives and I wanted to know could I get any drive or do it has to be a specific one.
try updating the firmware ,if that doesnt work the drive is probably no good/bad .yes other brands should work fine ,brands to consider are Plextor,BenQ or Lite-On
