Every time I try to burn a movie my friend made of us on vacation, it gives me a most peculiar error. I'm new to this, so I have no idea what it means. I snapped a picture of the error and uploaded it to this address: http://www.geocities.com/sorceress_magicjewel/dvderror.jpg If I load it it gives this error; if I attempt to burn it it gives this error, and if I choose to ignore the error, it acts like it's going to burn with no progress whatsoever. This is frustrating me a great deal. My friend told me to contact Sony about it, but they won't give me any support unless I am using their software, which won't even burn the ripped files (that drive is my only DVD drive, so I must rip them first to burn them as far as I know). Please help me! Do I need to have someone come out and fix it? It's a four day old drive and I have not been able to get it to do anything in four days. Thank you very much, nuriko EDIT: If the picture does not show, this is the error: Device: [0:0:0] SONY DVD+RW DRU 120A Scsi Status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 08 04 00 00 Interpretation: Read DVD Structure Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0B 00 00 00 00 24 00 Interpretation: Invalid field in CDB
