Hi there I'm very new here and I have 1 question.

I ripped a CD using WinAmp and now I'm trying to back it up. I'm trying to burn it using Nero, but it always says: " Can't Read File" when I try to add it. I can't play it using Windows Media Player either. I've tried conversion programs but they don't work. I really am clueless right now, it says that its in MP3 format but those problems still occure. Can you guys please help me out? Thanks a lot!

Can you play the files you ripped with ANY player?

There may be an option which encrypts the files. Look around and see.

Have you tried ripping it with another program, like record now? I've never had any problems, and I've even ripped with windows media player and never had any problems backing it up onto cd.

The problem... I don't the CD right now, and won't have it anytime soon. CDex doesn't seem to be working either. Everytime I click on it, it goes to the Blue Windows screen with the: "click any key to continue." Dammit this is getting frustrating.
