I had someone softmod my xbox and a few days later the xbox started to auto update xbox live. I have tried to get the guy that modded it to help, but for some reason I can not get a hold of him. I am unable to get passed the auto update screen, can someone tell me how to fix. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I can probably fix with help (alot of it). I have look on the forms and can not find my answer.
do you have the installer disc that was used? If so then place it in your Xbox, boot to it, then use the Xbox explorer view to activate the msdash and turn off XBL auto sign-in.
Just go to the MS dashboard through EvoX/Unleash X to turn auto-sign in off to do that. But I think it is because you didn't have the newest dashboard before you had the softmod installed. So I'd say you should uninstall the softmod, then get your ms dashboard updated and then re-install the softmod. -Mike
Thanks for the reply. I can't get to any screen to turn it off. It just keeps trying to update xbox live. I do not have the installation disc is there any other way to fix or how do I get a hold of one. I am not sure on how to fix. I was reading a little and someone wrote to ftp the xbox to pc. I have never ftp the xbox is this a way to get inside? I appreciate any help. I am still trying to get a hold of the guy who installed it.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT!! mess with your xbox using ftp. What you need to do is pm me, and I will give you step by step as of what to do.
