when i try to FTP my xbox it says "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" what do i do to fix that or make it not refuse it or anything. i have been trying every single way to FTP my xbox for about 5 days, and i have already tried looking through all the other topics and none seem to work. HELP PLEASE. Thanks.
Are you using a router or are you just plugging it in the back of your computer? if your using a router it dont really matter what you do ( i think) just plug it in and it should connect fine. If your plugging it into the back of you computr than its a little more complicated. you must use a "crossover cable" - you must set your xbox to a static ip - set ip to 192.168.1.100 - on computer set ip to 192.168.1.200 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 ant it should work when you connect. with the info you have given i dont really know what the problem is, just try troubleshooting. im pretty sure that there is a detailed guide on this wbsite that may help you more than i can.
