PLEASE Help Reformatting

    A friend of mine gave me an IOMagic 4 GB portable HD, I figured i would start new and right clicked the little bugger, and clicked reformat, and it says it is unable to reformat, and now of course the thing wont work. The disc that came with it only seems to help if you have older versions of Windows, so I don't know what to do, Please someone give me an idea... -Thanks

    Hey!

    Try this.......
    Start
    R click My Computer
    Manage
    under Storage click Disk Management
    R click disk you want
    Delete Partition
    R click again and Format

    what windows are you running & also is the drive usb because my laptop drive is usb driven & i am running win98se

    Hey Bignasty...

    where you able to complete the format?
    if you wearnt, may be the drive isnt being reconized completely, do u have the correct drives....
