I recently bought a pre-owned copy of American Beauty, and I have been trying to back it up. However, it is scratched pretty bad and my program (CloneDVD) will not copy it because of the scratches. I've tried to play the original, and it freezes up about half way through. I've tried cleaning it and I've tried the tooth paste trick, and nothing has helped. I was wondering if there is a program that would rip the movie to my hard drive that would fix the problem (hopefully for free). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Have you tried DVDFab Decrypter it is the most up to date free decrypter at the moment. http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm I hope that helps.
