plextor 708a as only drive

    If i purchase the Plextor PX-708A 8x DVD±R/RW Drive, is it at all necessary to have another cd drive?

    For everything i'm suggesting (play a lot of games). Will it suffice as a cd rom player reader/burner ect, as well as the dvd aspect of it
