Hi. I'm having trouble with my convertx. I'm trying to capture my old wrestling tapes to dvd, but with all the movement, there are many mpeg artifacts in the video. Even when I record WWE Shows on my tv on high quality, they are still there. Is there anyway to fix this, or does anyone recommend a capture card that has nice smooth video without mpeg artifacts? I have the plextor Convert 402u works great for capturing off a clean source(Direct TV,Cable,DVD). It can't handle old tapes. I have seven boxes of classic wrestling (80's to the mid 90's). The ConvertX can't keep up. I've tried many times I just quit after a few minutes because it can't keep a still picture or the picture isn't clear. I've been saving for the Canopus ADVC300 it Cleans, stabilizes Old analog video.
