Not many CS3 pros anymore; most people have gone to CS5, or at least CS4...the only people still on CS3 are amateurs that can't afford to upgrade. Not sure on the light source; maybe someone else knows. For the lines, I would just use the paintbrush tool. Make sure to create a new layer, and make sure that layer is on top and selected. For the colors, click where it says "window" on the top of photoshop; then click "color"...a RGB thing will pop up; it has three tabs, and the center tab is "swatches"...I think that is what you want.
