i need help with my hotswap, my pc detects the xboxhd, but xplorer 360 doesnt, it says"no fatx could be found", or something like that.i dont know if my xbhd is unlocked but it made a noise like"bewiiiii" when i unplugged the ide from it. im trying to fix error 16, what should i do?
The hd has to be unlocked for it to be recognized. To do this you can power up xbox, wait until you see the microsoft logo under the big X and xbox logo and unhook ide cable, and it will be unlocked just don't power it off. Now hook up to pc and it should be seen. If you need some more help try this link hotswap.
Its a pain in the a$$ but u have to keep trying until it works. It works the best for me when I unplug the IDE just before the MS logo shows up.
