I'm talking from rip to strip to burn--whatever it takes you to get the finished product. Feel free to leave your method with your times.
Well with a P4 1,6, 512MB Ram If it is a DVD-9: 20-30 minutes to re-author the movie with DVD Shrink and 15 minutes to burn at 4x with nero it is about 35-45 minutes. If it is a DVD-5: 15min to rip it with DVD Decrypter and 15min to burn it with DVD Decrypter it makes us 30min.
Its such a generalised question, i dont think we can read into many of the answers. It depends on these things: Processor RAM HD Speed Other programs running (cpu usage) The software used The DVD Writer used The DVD Reader used The amount of compression applied etc... There are just too many ambigious qualities in this. However, this is my general perception. DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter to rip - 8mins DVD Shrink to compress 0-10% - 8-13mins DVD Shrink to compress 10-15% - 15-17mins DVD Shrink to compress 15-25% - 18-23mins DVD Shrink to compress 30%+ - 26mins + DVD2One on average takes around 3 or 4 mins longer. With Deep Analysis add on 25mins. Nero to burn at 4x - 16mins Record now Deluxe to burn at 4x -15mins 50sec Double the times for 2x burning. As you can see it all depends on the disc you are trying to back-up
