    I have a JVC GR-DX77U DV Cam, a Sony Vaio P4 1.8, and a Samsung 16x Dual Layer Burner.

I tried my hand at capturing a DV, editing, and burning to DVD. It worked great, but the video quality is very poor, mainly when the camera shots are panning/moving. I have 60 gigs of free HDD space to use for the project.
My search said there are more capture settings I can change, so I'll try MPG? I want it to be DVD quality, and don't want another coaster, so just checking for more tips before I start again.
Is this software good enough? Very easy to use, but how do you guys feel about it?

As a note: I just checked my setting in the program, and it looks like the capture was already set to "MPEG" and "DVD High Quality". I don't see any further settings for capture to improve picture quality. Should I be using AVI???
