I can't seem to get my portable HDD to appear in My COmputer. It was working yesterday. When I plug in into the computer, the HDD is detected but it won't appear in my computer. I tried reinstalling the driver but it still don't work. Tried another cable but still won't work. Tried using another computer and it still won't work! Any thoughts? the HDD is a Samsung 2.5" 80GB btw. Edit: Computer also hangs up and computer manangement won't start if the hdd is pluged in
Probably just a bad enclosure...try plugging the drive itself into the mainboard, if it works then you know the enclosure is bad for sure.
