Possible screen/graphics card failure

    does it have onboard video or a videocard?

    don't go near it.. it's an onboard chip on that crapple box.. and it's died.. $ony lappys do the same after about 5 years.. not economic to "repair" which is why the seller is dumping it no doubt.. a link to the full listing would have been better.. these types of wrecks are usually sold by "repairers" often attached with some noobish sounding "don't know whats wrong.. probably an easy fix" speil.. check their other items bought and sold over the last few months.. lots of duff computers?..

    Thanks for the info guys. decided not to go near it. Figured it might be artifacting.

    I ended up buying another one that had a supposed broken either net port. Turn out that the mac installation was just corrupted as most services didn't even work. So I snagged a good mack for less than half of what its worth.
