hi, i was wondering if it was possible to burn dvd's that are bigger then the average 4.3gb. i tried copying a dvd onto another blank one directly cause i have two dvd/rw's in my pc but that didn't let me cause the actual dvd was 7gb and my blank one was only 4.3
then i tried ripping it and burning the files onto the dvd, but the movie files were still 7gb, so i couldn't burn them either onto the dvd. i was wondering if it is at all possible to do so.
i tried using many different softwares, most confused the hell out of me and didn't work or i didn't know how to use them. the one i started with is cloneDVD.

The most you can fit on a blank dvd media is about 4.4gig. You need a compressing software and a decrypting software if the movie is copy protected. Clonedvd is a good one but doesn't decrypt. You need Anydvd to work with it. A free version similar is DVDshrink which shrinks the files to fit the blank media and also decrypts at the same time. You will need a burning software to burn back to the blank like Nero 6 or Recordnow Max. Clonedvd and Anydvd will rip, decrypt, and burn back without Nero. Download the guide off this site and pick what looks easiest for you.
