I need some help here. I am usually quite proficient at figuring things out online when it comes to backing up discs but I am hitting a wall here. I have a mpeg concert on harddrive that I burnt to disc only to realize there are no chapters to select from. I used NeroVision4 to create chapters and saved it. However, it will not let me burn from NV4 because it says there is not enough space on the blank disc and I should use a DVD9. I have tried to use DVD shrink but the file is not visible for me to load into shrink even though it is under "my videos". It is a NVC file in the hard drive folder. Is there any way to convert this to another type of file that I can use DVD shrink with or any other possible way to get this onto a dvd??
If it's a project File, can you not just open it in Nero and save the output to a hard disk folder (instead of burning) then open the folder with DVD Shrink.
Thats where I am having the trouble. I re-opened the file that I added chapters too in Nero Vision and have resaved it to hard drive however DVD Shrink fails to find the file.
You point DVD Shrink to the folder and it gives an error message? Does the folder contain the usual collection of files (VOB IFO BUP).
I open DVD shrink and "open files", browse to the "my videos" where I have the file stored and it literally does not even show up. It shows as an empty folder. It is there though. I can re-open it in NeroVision and see it under "my computer".
All I can suggest is to run 'FixVTS', to see if the files can be brought into compliance. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/fixvts.cfm
