Please refer to my previous post for system components. Anyway, when I shut down windows XP after about 5-10 minutes the computer will restart on its own. To prevent this you must physically flip the on/off switch on the power supply. This only occured after the PC's last trip to the repair shop. Otherwise, it worked like all other machines, shut downs= power off. Please let me know what I can do to fix this.
check in bios for possible setting to wakeup the computer & disable it. also disable power management in the bios
400W I believe, I did have a neon light in the case, but was told that it was probably drawing too much power.
400w should be enough. open case to see lable on psu that states maximum wattage output. goto this link to use this program to see what size psu you need & add 30% to total http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/Power_Supply_Calculator.php?cmd=INTEL
