I am using power dvd v5.5 updated to v5.6, and dvd genie 4.10. My drive is rpc1 as reported by drive info. I am unable to reset the region counter on my drive; infact it has maxed out on region 3! I got powerdvd bundled onto my Dell PC, and appear to be missing some of the functions - it does not appear on start/ programmes - I think I must have deleted it at some stage! I don't remember recieving a disk from dell with the software programmes on, otherwise, I would try a reinstall. Anyone come accross this, and have any tips. If nothing else, how to get back the full power DVD programme functions. ...... My next problem is that windvd (and interactual player) seem to be having a problem - the picture is blocky and strange colours ie the writing appears greyed out - is this related to powerdvd too?
Should add that I have just DLed DVD Region Killer, which seems to allow PowerDVD to play fine. However, the picture problem with WinDVD and Interactual still exists. Does DVD Region Killer cause any conflicts with other apps, eg Shrink, Decrypter, Fabdecrypter etc btw?
