I rippped a dvd movie using Dvd decrypter on to my harddrive.. but when i try to play if off my hdd using powerDVD 5.. or even when i play the dvd from the dvd-drive only the edges show the movie while the middle shows a big black square that covers up the movie.. the sound is fine.. but the screen has a black square.. does anyone have any suggestions to solving this
I had the same problem using a Matrox Millenium g400 DualHead Max card. I resolved it by going to display properties, selecting the settings tab, clicking on advanced, selecting the Troubleshoot tab and then reducing the hardware acceleration to the level at which it disables DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations (about half way on mine). This did the trick, but there is probably a better resolution about. Let me know if you find one.
