powerdvd playback, no sound

    I have PowerDvd deluxe version 7.
    When I play an MP3, I have sound.
    However, when I play a DVD there is a picture, but no sound.
    This happens with an original dvd and a burned dvd.
    Can you tell me what the problem could be?

    By the way, there is a picture and sound when using Windows Media Player.

    no it is not the trial version.

    However, I seem to have fixed the problem. I un-installed it, and then re-installed it, and now it works fine.
