I'm using Adobe Premiere 7.0 and I've imported an avi file. After I added the avi clip to the timeline, when I preview it in the sequence monitor it just appears as a black screen with some snow sometimes. What am I doing wrong?
Two possibilities: 1) You're missing some codecs. For this, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version): http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm 2) Adobe is not integrating well with the codecs. For this, try change the codec of the avi with e.g. Power Video Converter or Advanced X Video Converter (try set video to Xvid and audio to Mpeg Layer 3). Then try again. Good luck!
